My Shameless Lion Pareto

He woke me last night
from outside the perimeter-
the repeated decrescendo
of roaring
of reifying
of his repeatedly realizing
the predator’s
Pareto principle.

He struck me
with his proclivity
for parsing Pangea,
and reinforcing
the sustained
survival
of his species
in the sum of his
slashing
severing
shameless
privation.

This anti-Aslan
his eyes and heart of darkness
roaming the voodoo veldt
of global capital
and trade
will not
lie down
with lambs
yet he sees
with eyes
of angels
into the deepest
anarchic
abyss
tail stretching back to Africa
whiskers
sensing
the alchemy
of order
and myth.

WOW

I came by to introduce myself and say hello. I am a fellow member of the Shameless Lions Writing Circle.

This is an awesome poem! What a gifted writer you are!

The piano art photos are very interesting too... made me think of the Mad Hatter playing these in Wonderland... ;o) it would be so perfect.

I will come by to visit again!

Hi – I really love the piano art in the post above! Very coll! Is that, as it appears, an assemblage of found piano objects?

Rob Kistner here.

I am a fellow Shameless Lions Writing Circle member. I wanted to visit and say hello. Artheo and I would like to invite you to stop by Image & Verse and say hello.

We have created a specific ‘writing circle’ post that contains an idea or two regarding the circle. We’d love your thoughts.

We would also like to exchange links to each other’s blogs. If that is agreeable with you, please let me know when you visit, and we can create our links.

I am going to tour your blog now. I hope we can become better acquainted! ;)

I love the alliteration, the way you worked the word shameless in there and the idea of an anti-Aslan!

Hi, would you please pass this note along to Pareto? I invite him to come visit me on my new blog, The Literary Lion of Lyon. He would probably recognize me from the blog’s title, but tell him Roary sent the invitation. Thanks.
